Privacy Policy

DocToolkit is a document toolkit — PDF and Word conversion, image tools, OCR, and a QR/barcode scanner and generator. Everything runs entirely on your device. DocToolkit has no server, no account system, and makes no network requests of its own — every conversion, scan, and OCR pass happens locally on your phone.

1. What we collect

Nothing. DocToolkit does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, usage data, or analytics — because there is nowhere for it to go. There is no server this app talks to.

2. Your files

The documents, images, and photos you open or create in DocToolkit stay on your device. They are read from and written to your device's storage using the permission you grant when the app asks — DocToolkit never uploads them anywhere. A short local history of your past conversions is kept on your device (so you can re-share a recent result) and is never sent off the device either; you can clear it any time from Settings.

3. Permissions this app requests, and why

• Camera — used only when you choose to scan a QR code/barcode, or take a photo for OCR. The camera feed is processed on-device and is never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere unless you explicitly save or share a result yourself. Every other tool in the app works with no camera access at all.
• Storage / files — used to open the documents and images you pick, and to save the files DocToolkit creates, to a location you choose.
• Internet — DocToolkit's own code never makes a network call. This permission exists because the QR/barcode scanner uses Google's ML Kit, which may download its on-device scanning model via Google Play Services the first time you use the scanner. That download is between your device and Google Play Services directly — nothing from inside DocToolkit is sent anywhere as part of it.

4. Third parties

DocToolkit does not use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs of any kind. The only third-party component involved is Google's ML Kit barcode-scanning library (via Google Play Services), described above, which does its on-device model download independent of any data from this app.

5. Children's privacy

DocToolkit does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.

6. Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the "Last updated" date above will change with it.
